A key component of Camino Nuevo’s mission is our focus on the whole child where we address students’ comprehensive needs ensuring that each student is healthy, supported, engaged and challenged--setting the stage for comprehensive and long-term student success. After School Program
In partnership with the Youth Policy Institute, Camino Nuevo offers an after-school program with both academic assistance and enrichment activities such as computer training, homework assistance, athletics, and college prep counseling. Tutoring and project-based activities are also offered every school day on the Kayne Siart campus until 6 p.m. In addition to running our afterschool program, YPI has also set up a Public Computing Center at Camino Nuevo as part of a $5.6 million dollar federal grant from the U.S. Department of Commerce. The Public Computing Center at Kayne Siart is in use everyday from 7am until 5:30pm with computer classes and tutoring sessions.
